Mozilla Security Research Summit 2026

Friday, November 20, 2026 9:00am - 6:00pm Delft, Netherlands

The Mozilla Security Research Summit will take place in Delft as part of Mozilla’s Security Engineering University Relationship Framework (SURF) initiative. SURF is designed to strengthen collaboration between Mozilla and the academic community by engaging academic talent in addressing Mozilla-specific security and privacy engineering challenges, while deepening our long-term research partnerships.

The summit will bring together Mozilla engineers, academic researchers, and PhD students. A central goal of the event is for Mozilla engineers to present (“pitch”) open research problems to the academic community, fostering new collaborations and joint research efforts. Mozilla speakers will cover topics including tracking protection, language-based security, cryptography, web measurement, and machine learning.

In addition, leading academics in security and privacy will deliver invited talks, providing broader research perspectives and insights. The program is designed to encourage active discussion throughout the day and will conclude with a networking dinner.

We look forward to welcoming you to Delft as we work together to advance security and privacy on the open web.
